I'm a day late, however I still wanted to join Carol at May Dreams Gardens for GBBD. Here is a look at what is blooming in my garden in May.
Lavender Lady Passionflower Vine |
Spanish Lavender and Cora Vincas |
Alstroemeria or Peruvian Lily |
Agastache Acapulco |
Jewels of Opar |
Thank you Carol for hosting GBBD. I appreciate you stopping by and visiting my garden.
Looks like you lean toward pinks and reds. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThank you Beth. My favorite combo is Pink + Purple. I've been planting more red flowers to try to attract the hummers. Thanks for stopping by:)
DeleteThat's my favorite Agastache, but somehow I'm not growing it this year. I should probably remedy that. I love those multicolored blooms. I'm trying a new (to me) Agastache this year called Blue Fortune. It's taller than Acapulco, but the flower show has been just as good.
ReplyDeleteAlly,
DeleteI really appreciate the info on the Agastache. This is a new plant to me. I love the multicolored blooms as well! I'll have to check out Blue Fortune. I'm looking to plant some more Agastache together with some Bee Balm. Thought it would make a pretty combo:)
Love the Jewels of Opar...so delicate!
ReplyDeleteScott,
DeleteI love them too. They are a pass along from my Grandmother. Playing in her garden helped spark my interest in gardening.
Hi Steph...your flowers are beautiful. I really like Agastaches and yours is one that I really want to find for my garden!
ReplyDeleteChristy,
DeleteThank you! According to what I've read online, Agastaches like full sun and attract hummingbirds. I haven't seen any hummingbirds around it, but we have plenty of full sun here in TX for it to grow in. Hope you find the Acapulco variety. The blooms are very pretty.
Beautiful pink-to-purple palette! I've never seen Alstroemeria outside of a bouquet; how wonderful to have them in your garden. And that Lavender Lady is on my list; stunning blooms.
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy! The Alstroemeria grows well in a part shade spot. If they find a spot they like, they will multiply. The bloom time doesn't last long, but I think they are so pretty. The Lavender Lady is a must have. I like that is an evergreen. I think you are going to love it in your garden.
