  1. Oh wow, look at all the blooms you have going! It's interesting to reference the differences. My fernleaf lavender froze so the seedlings are just now popping up and the same with the ground orchids which are just showing leaves.

    1. Shirley, I think you are further North than I am. The fernleaf Lavender was just planted and the Ground orchids were a passalong from a former neighbor. Have a great weekend!

    1. Thank you Janet. Our Spring in TX is very short lived. We have to enjoy it before the heat arrives. Thanks for dropping by.

    1. Thanks Ally. Ideal conditions for the orchids would be rich soil with part sun. They have survived neglect and full sun before in my garden. They are tough! Thanks again for the kind comment about my photography. I feel like I'm still learning:)

    1. Thank you! I love lavender and it does well in our full sun bed. The pincushions flowers remind me of something you see in a cottage garden. The bees are loving them. Thank for the kind comments. Hope you have a fantastic weekend:)

  6. So pretty!
My ground orchid froze and so did the fernleaf lavender. Both in pots. The orchid had never bloomed, and I'd planned to put it in the ground this spring. :(
Maybe I'll try both again. Yours are so lovely.

Have a great weekend. It's weeding for us here.

    1. Thanks Linda. I've had years when the ground orchids did not come up due to lack of rain. Thank goodness this was a good year for them. They are suppose to multiply, however mine never have. I'm hoping I have success with the Fernleaf Lavender.

Hope you have a great weekend as well:) I hear you on the weeding. It is that time of year.

  7. I love nasturiums! I have never had much luck with them, though. If you have any advice I would love to hear. Your ground orchid is very pretty.

    1. Amy, The only advice I have for you about the nasturiums is to plant them in the Fall. I use to plant them in the Spring, however they do not do well in our TX heat. They are super easy to grow from seed and might need to be covered during freezes. Hope that helps:) I really love the ground orchids and would like to plant more of them. They are difficult to find though in garden centers. Thank you for dropping by.

  8. Thanks! I will plant some in the fall. :) I think I planted them the wrong time of year.

  9. Love your pincushion flower - I have debated on getting one. How do you like it? Is it tough? We got the hail! Two days last week - we are close to the airport. Glad you missed it!!!! Hope you are having a good weekend Steph :)

    1. Heather, The pincushions are a tough little perennial. It does benefit from some additional water in the summer. It seems to do best in a part sun location. The bees love it! It flowers mostly in the Spring and Fall.

Sorry to hear you got hailed on. Hope it didn't do any damage. Thanks for stopping by.
