I'm ready to carve pumpkins and drink hot apple cider. Yes, I'm so glad fall is finally here. Unfortunately, I have amateur pumpkin carving skills, so I'm thinking of taking the easy route and just busting open a can of gold spray paint, painting my pumpkin and calling it a day. If you happen to be a pumpkin carving professional, here are some ideas for you:
Those are cool. Pumpkins are really a favorite of mine. I have LOTS of them...mostly ceramic. I put them out the day after Labor Day, and take them down after Thanksgiving. Throw in some witches and ghosts during October, and you have a whole season of decorating. Love it. Let's hope we get some cool weather...more than one day. It's gotta cool off sometime...right? Have a good weekend. Stay safe....
Those are fun pumpkins! I was just thinking the other day how it actually looks like fall...too bad the brown is due to the drought. :/ Have a good weekend!
Wonderful ideas but I am through with all that. All except a few years go we were at our son's for Halloween and he had some templates for carving pumpkins. I was amazed at how good they looked and how easy they were to do. Like Amy said- the trees make it look like fall but then we don't usually get that until November. Today it is summer again.
Jenny - I loved your post " The Cupboard in the Corner". I have a ton of gardening magazines, clippings, articles, plans, etc. that I can not part with. Thanks for stopping by.

Linda - Fall is my favorite time of year. I'm hoping on some cooler weather so I can get out in the garden.
ReplyDeleteAmy - It does look like fall with all the brown trees around.
