They're Baaaack

It that time of year when Warblers start migrating through Texas. If you are lucky and have a water source, you might be able to spot one or two. Here are a couple of Warblers I spotted at my fountain.

  1. Great pictures! Those warblers look so refreshed! I couldn't post on your first entry, but today I had a squirrel laying just like yours, only on my kitchen windowsill. The cats inside the house were going crazy.

  2. Meredith - Thank you for the comment. I love these little yellow birds.

I feel bad for the squirrels. I'm sure they are just looking for a cool place to hang out. I'm sure I would do the same thing if I had to be outside all day. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. I agree. Great pictures.
Haven't seen any of these warblers. We have some Yellow Warblers. They're completely yellow and very small. And, very quick. No pictures of them yet.
    Love that birdbath, too.

  4. Linda - Thank you. Warblers can be tough to spot because they are so quick.

I got this birdbath this summer and I'm so glad I did. I had one before just like it, but I had to leave (convey) it with the house we sold.

  5. Don't you just feel honored that they picked your birdbath to hang out in :-) Even though we got 5 minutes of rain today, it still got plenty hot in the afternoon. Not out of the woods yet, but every little drop helps, right :-)

  6. Toni - I love seeing them... Wish they were here year round.

I actually got rained on. I have no idea where my umbrella is... It has been so long since I have had to use it.

  7. Great shots! How much fun to see your warblers. I didn't realize migration had started until we saw a black and white warbler and a white-eyed vireo at the bird bath this morning.

Thanks for commenting at Hill Country Mysteries, which let me follow you back here.

  8. Kathleen - Thank you for the comment. I've so enjoyed reading your blog.

I bet you have some hummingbirds passing through. I have some, but probably not as many as you do.
